Four girls with arms around shoulders posing at the peak of Jay

We had a great time with our first PBIS celebration of the year! On Wednesday, students either hiked Jay Peak or walked the Newport Bike Path and went to the park. It was great to celebrate student success and enjoy our beautiful Vermont nature!

For those of you who don't know, PBIS, or Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, is a school-wide approach that helps create a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment for all students. It focuses on teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors instead of only reacting to misbehavior. Through PBIS, students learn clear expectations for how to act in classrooms, hallways, and other school settings. When students meet those expectations, their positive choices are recognized and celebrated—helping build a stronger, more supportive school community.

We can't wait for more PBIS celebrations to come!
